'It’s Getting Better All the Time' at The Beatles Story
The award-winning Beatles Story is the world’s leading permanent attraction dedicated to the lives and times of The Beatles, and located in their hometown of Liverpool, UK, on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Albert Dock.
This Spring, The Beatles Story will be welcoming an EXCLUSIVE photography exhibition from George Harrison's former wife, Pattie Boyd. The exhibition, entitled 'George, Eric & Me', displays intimate portraits of the late Beatle and Eric Clapton by the well-renowned fashion model who shared both their lives. The exhibition will be on display for six months at The Beatles Story, Pier Head, from May 6 – October 1, 2016.
October 9, 2015 marked 75 years since the birth of John Lennon. To commemorate this, The Beatles Story welcomed memorabilia showcasing Lennon’s last piano and ‘John Lennon: The New York Years 1971 – 1980’, which is a collection of famous photographs taken of John by his New York photographer, Bob Gruen. Both exhibits will be at the Beatles Story for the next 3 years.
An iconic drum kit, used by Ringo Starr, has also gone on display this month. The specially designed Ludwig gold sparkle drum kit, which recently sold for $64,000 at auction, was used by Ringo during the ‘Concert for George’ in November 2002 and will be on display at the Albert Dock site for 3 years.
Admission to the Beatles Story also includes entry to the British Invasion exhibition which is co-curated with The Grammy’s Museum, LA, and focuses on how 1960 beat groups conquered America. Other ticket benefits include:
